Graphic Design (graduation exhibition)

The Graphic Design program class of 2020 graduates in a time when social distancing has placed a screen between ourselves and the outside world. These screens are rectangular rabbit holes through which we collaborate, stay informed, manage our studies, mediate daily life, stream series and spend time with near and dear ones, all within a gleaming light. This year’s graduates speak the digital mother tongue fluently, and their projects explore our interconnectedness with the digital and analog materials with a sensibility for both. Suggesting that today, one method can not exist without the other.

The Graphic Design program of K3 at Malmo University is pleased to launch the 2020 Bachelors Graphic Design online thesis presentation: Screen Gleaming, organized by Emilia Bergmark, Elizabeth Ashley Fox-Jensen and student representatives Viktor Ekblom, Hella Selle and Cecilia Turemark.

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the 2020 BFA thesis exhibition will take place online rather than on-site at Form/Design Center in Malmö, Sweden. This online platform presents the work of our graduating students working in the graphic, brand and interaction design. We invite you to view the work of these outstanding emerging designers. They include: Alexandra Lindström, Alice Kindborg Elofsson, Alice Svärdhagen, Andrea Hjulfors Berg, Cassandra Tönissoo, Cecilia Turemark, Elin Filipsson, Ellinore Sånge, Hella Selle, Ida Ginman, Jakob Svensson, Leva Bimbiryté, Louise Bjerkesjö, Philip Tellenmark, Sandra Persson, Stefan Hansson, Stina Axelsson and Viktor Ekblom.

The Graphic Design program is a dynamic three-year, cross-disciplinary program committed to expanding the formal, intellectual and conceptual dimensions of emerging designers’ work. Studio-based research and practical expressions, developed through a holistic understanding of the design fields. Throughout the education we work closely with the industry.

We work together with agencies, museums, art galleries, municipalities and even start-ups that need different ways in their graphic communication. This is done, for example, in the form of sharp student projects or degree projects. This means that you are trained to deal with a growing but above all changing labor market already during your studies.
