Last week the artistic research project HYBRID MATTERs was concluded in Helsinki with a symposium, at the Theatre Academy, and an exhibition at Forum Box.
HYBRID MATTERs is a two-year-long artistic research project, funded by the Nordic Culture Fund. The project investigates hybrid ecologies, the convergence of our environment with technology and essentially the intentional and unintentional transformation of our planet through human activity.
As one of the partners in the project, Kristina Lindström, senior lecturer at K3, and Åsa Ståhl, senior lecturer at Linneus University, have used participatory and speculative methods to explore Plastic Imaginaries. Their work was exhibited at Forum Box and presented during the symposium in the panel In the Aftermath.
